St Albans City Youth Football Club, formed in 1971, needed to align its visual brand with its incredible reputation. The club has become an intrinsic part of the sporting community. It needed to respectfully ‘stand out’. Creating a badge that reflected both the history of the City and of the club, was a challenge.
The start of a new era
It was vital to ensure we had a strong concept that captured the key elements of the City. From the Romans to the Norman tower, the saltire to the halo, every detail had to be considered. We knew that creating a new badge for a football club would be an emotional experience for all stakeholders, change is always an uncomfortable moment. However, due to the detailed and considerate approach, the new St Albans City Youth FC badge was warmly received, and continues to go from strength to strength.
Celebrating 50 years
Capturing all of the hugely positive aspects that St Albans City Youth FC deliver, as part of its remit as a community club, was the driving force behind creating the celebratory film. With the club now spanning 50 years, it was imperative that we recognised its history while focusing on the present.
